I wasn't overly impressed with the Welcome email I got from Myngle just last week:

Hello _________,

Welcome to Myngle, the foreign language marketplace.

From now on you can make use of your own virtual classroom where you can teach your students in private.

Students can book lessons directly with you but you can also search for students in the students' area and ask them to book a lesson with you on Myngle.

On Myngle, you can build your education portfolio by:

* Using Myngle's lesson material. Click here, find the course you want to teach and click on 'add to my courses', and it's yours.
* creating your own course material
* or even

OR EVEN WHAT? It just ends, right then and there....

I'm sure they have plenty of teachers / students on the site as well, willing to donate a little bit of time to fix it. I agree with you on this one China_Mike. Another option would be Mechanical Turk, where you could pay someone 2 cents per word, and then end up paying out $2-$3, and you'd spend 10 minutes doing it. Little things make a big difference!

It takes months to build a great platform and even then it will always be a work in progress (translation, it will NEVER be finished). To get everyday language down right, takes what, a couple of hours? Give us a better excuse next time PLEASE! The correct, completely transparent answer was--" we couldn't afford to pay someone to proof read our copy and we were on the look out for someone to do it for free."

Communicating well with your audience is a mind-set, not a single act done when you can squeeze in some spare time. I love Myngle, but you guys DO NOT understand how this kind of communication is like a fingernail going across a blackboard to native English teachers.

I'm pretty sure the Myngle Parrot breaks all sorts of Facebook rules in
terms of not being a real person - Facebook doesn't like that. I don't know
how long for this world that parrot will be 0_0

Hi Koichi,
you are doing magic! This issue is discussed by English teachers (natives) in the Myngle forum for months and nothing happened. You write one blog post and *BAM* tharrr she blows!

We'll see what will change. Btw, as far as I am informed there is only one native English speaker in the office, and this guy is the IT man ;).
